There's nothing more important than the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved in Girlguiding
It's important for both volunteers, the Girlguiding Wiltshire South team and parents to know our Safeguarding and risk policies. Follow the links below to go to the Girlguiding website to find out more.

Adult to child ratios
Avoid any potential safety issues by being aware to have the right number of adults present at your meetings
Communication Passports
Some young people may find it difficult to tell their leaders how they need to be supported. Communication passports are simple resources you can use with girls who have autism or learning disabilities. They give young people an informal way to tell you all about themselves – without the need to communicate verbally.
Notification of accident or incident form
This form should be completed by an adult member of Girlguiding as soon as possible after an accident or incident
Personal & health plans
Some of our young members and volunteers may have additional health needs. View our personal and health care plans which facilitate discussions between you and the parent about supporting the member.
By completing an adjustment plan with a young member or volunteer, you can work out what barriers they face and plan the changes, or adjustments, you can make to remove these.
It’s a personalised, practical plan which helps you identify and record adjustments for disabled young members and volunteers.
Safe space training
Girlguiding have created training to assist and help you create an environment within your units where your girls can have fun, grow and learn in an environment where they feel safe and secure.
