Leadership Training

Welcome to the new training section for all members in Wiltshire South.  I am absolutely delighted to announce that I am able to launch the new training programme for the County.  Training Tuesdays I hope will become a catchphrase for everyone to remember. If you want training of any sort you can contact me and Berwick is available. This can be for a one to one, District or Division.  You name it I will provide it!

We have 5 rooms available. 2 rooms will be taken with 1st Aid Training. First Aid will take on a rolling programme February being the first session.  Then from March we will run Part 1 & Part 2 you can take the different parts any month you like and when you have done both you will get your certificate. This course is for anyone, Sue Brown has agreed to head up the team and we really hope that this will help resolve some of the issues with first aid.

Diary Dates

  • 28 February 2012
    : Leaders with Y/L or Leaders in training - This evening is for those leaders and those in training to come together and find out what should be happening.  A chance to review the Unit Guiders role and the responsibilities of those on the leadership scheme. We will go through the programme and clarify procedures.

    : Brownie Promise Ceremonies - A fun filled evening with lots of ideas for promise ceremonies.

    : What’s a Buddy Burner? - A fond look at some of the original ways of guiding, how to work them into today’s programme and a chance to learn some forgotten skills.

  • 22 May 2012
    : Not just Tea & Cake & 1st Aid training - Are you about to reach that dreaded age? Still want to be a part of Guiding? Are you a new Guider taking over? This is a sensitive look at what comes next, opportunities and how to make the transition as easy as possible. You may be surprised!

    : Mentors Review - After a very successful training to open a review to look at how the new ideas are working and an evening to network.
